Ride Right/Drive Right Signs Going Up on A1A

Taking "Share the Road" to Next Level

The SFBC/Zimmerman-designed signs for A1A have been fabricated and are ready to go up along AIA this week! As many of you know, the South Florida Bike Coalition first made a name for itself by taking FDOT to task for not putting in bike lanes where, by their own policies, they should have been designed for and implemented. Part of the ongoing work that FDOT is doing to address this has been to work with us to add signage that will promote safer use of the roadway by both motorists and cyclists – and here it is!

We hope that these signs, an extension of our Ride Right/Drive Right Campaign, will be a model for better signs along all our roadways.
