SFBC on WXEL 90.7FM Saturday, 5pm

Just a reminder to tune into Radio Green Earth tomorrow for a special show featuring several SFBC leaders, FDOT, RTA and other transportation professionals. The show goes on air at 5pm on 90.7FM and streams live from RadioGreenEarth.org and WXEL.org/listenlive.html. It should also be available on iTunes by Monday afternoon. From the show’s newsletter: Saturday, March 27th on Radio Green Earth “Get Out Of The Car!”

Ever wonder if you could travel South Florida with a smaller carbon footprint and without the almighty automobile? On our Saturday, March 27th broadcast, Radio Green Earth will see just how feasible it is to “get out of the car” and travel South Florida using bikes, trains, buses, and our feet. We’ll look at sustainable methods of transportation, development that is conducive to these, talk with city planners, bicycle advocates, commuters, and Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). We’ll also take you on a trip to see what we encountered when we traveled 75 miles to Ft. Lauderdale Beach using only bikes, trains, buses and our feet.

You’ll be surprised with what we encountered.

Join Missy and Jim and our special guests Kathryn Moore, Executive Director of the South Florida Bike Coalition, Raphael Clemente, City of West Palm Beach’s Assoc. Director of the Downtown Development Authority, author Jeff Mapes (Pedaling Revolution), bicycle advocate Jeffrey Lynne, and representatives from FDOT and Tri-Rail for this informative broadcast.

Don’t miss it!
