Ride better, safer, more confidently after a Road 1 course. The League of American Bicyclists offers a fun ‘Traffic Skills 101‘ course that promises to gives people who bicycle the confidence they need to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. The course covers bicycle safety checks, fixing a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques and includes a student manual.
Recommended for adults and children above age fourteen, this fast-paced, eight-hour course prepares cyclists for a full understanding of vehicular cycling and the basics of their bike. It’s also a prerequisite for getting certified as a”League Cycling Instructor (LCI),” someone who is certified, insured and equipped to teach anything from basic skills to college level courses across the USA.
Join us for a Sunday at Tropical Park, 9am-5pm on June 27. The class costs just $35 and brings together people from across South Florida. You’ll need a bike and a helmet. (Let us know if we can help) Get directions to Tropical Park here (7900 SW 40 Street, Miami-Dade County). Registration is required. Contact SFBC member and LCI, David Henderson, for full details.
