Bicycles, Beer and Mangoes, Oh My!

This weekend is going to be full of bicycles, beer and mangoes! On Saturday, the DRB is hosting a Summer Beer Luau in Downtown Miami and we think it is awfully cool of them to invite local groups to hang out and promote bicycling.

Looks like the Open Streets Project, EMERGE Miami, Green Mobility, and The Miami Bike Scene will have representatives cooling down from a day on the bike and talking advocacy. For those murmurs of concern we have heard, do not worry! The intimate space of this favorite local beer hangout (they serve 100 different beers from all over the world) is spilling out to take over the adjacent parking lot, just behind the Arsht Center for the Performing Arts. Expect live music, exotic beer and sake tastings, great food and lots of bicycle-lovers all co-mingling in the heart of Miami.

AND… Just a friendly reminder that people on bicycles will be getting the red carpet treatment this weekend at Fairchild’s Annual Mango Festival, thanks to their collaboration with the Green Mobility Network.

Like you needed a reason to ride? Have a great weekend –

  1. This sounds like so much fun! And yay to Fairchild Gardens for giving us cyclists the VIP treatment! That is a HUGE incentive to not miss out on this!
