Come meet Mike Lydon of The Street Plans Collaborative and talk to South Miami policymakers about how to make the city better for people by tackling the growing parking problem on Wednesday, December 1 at 7pm.
Lydon, a founding Board Member of the Miami Bicycle Coalition (which merged with the South Florida Bike Coalition last March) is well known for his progressive approach to bicycle planning. He is the author of the City of Miami Bicycle Master Plan and a leader in New Urbanist planning. His presentation, “Driving us Nuts: Parking, Parking Reform and the Search for a Walkable City,” will be followed by questions and open discussion. If you live, work or ride in South Miami, we strongly encourage you to come out.
The Bike Coalition thanks the South Miami Green Task Force (http://www.greensouthmiami.com) for hosting this event and for being a model for other municipalities who want to get serious about making their cities truly sustainably communities.
