We may not endorse any candidates, but we strongly endorse you.

A simple, short call can help remind your representatives what matters to you.

The South Florida Bike Coalition urges you to take 5 minutes to call your local commissioners/councilmembers, mayors and state representatives and introduce yourself as a constituent. All you have to say is,

“Hello. I bicycle. My health and safety are very important to me and my family. I’d like to know – what are you doing to ensure that your constituents have safe and equal access to where they are going, however they choose to get there?”

Be sure to leave your name and phone number or email so they can follow up with you about projects in your community. Let us know how it goes. We are happy to accompany you to meetings with local officials and/or provide you with materials that can help you and them consider bicycling more effectively.

To find out who represents you at the state and national levels, visit http://www.votesmart.org; locally, just call 411 and ask for your [Insert City or County Here] local government office. Whoever answers the phone should be able to direct you appropriately based on your mailing address alone.
